About Corine
Corine van der Werf (1961) is a Dutch visual artist working under the name HeART for eARTh, which forms the core of her artistic practice. It is rooted in listening, observation and the dialogue between the inner and outer worlds.
For more than three decades she has explored this relationship through installations, photography, paintings, paper works, textiles and light objects, all pointing to the same underlying message: We are Nature – as She is us.
The work emerges through a personal process of perception, intuitively guided by what asks to take form. Through the work, themes of transformation, vulnerability, renewal and interconnectedness continue to unfold.
In 2023, during what she later came to refer to as A Summit of Silence, thinking gradually gave way to a quieter way of perceiving. Rather than changing the direction of her work, it deepened themes that had long been present.
From this silence emerged Night Notes & Day Dreams: poetic texts that arrive spontaneously and are recorded with minimal intervention, preserving their original rhythm, cadence and voice. They have become part now of a single artistic practice where image, language, installation and spoken word come together.
The work invites a different way of seeing and being, with room for soulfulness.

Nature's Law
Every tree, a silent witness
of our time, which runs relentlessly
on the wheel, and doesn't bother
if we love or kill each other.
For Nature's laws runs different trails,
not human-like, she never fails
or wins that's not her game.
That's why Nature 'll never blame
or shuffle in the 'wrong' directions.
For good and bad are human's sections.
Such silent teachers all around -
and we still keep searching for the ground
where finally our feet can rest, the Quest is done
Not realizing Eden is never gone
but plays her eternal role throughout our days,
and silently shows secret ways.
